Few premier league matches were postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 virus and the officials decided to reschedule the matches. Finally the matches are rescheduled to be played on 12th January. This game week includes 3 important games that could define places for various teams in the first and second halves of the table.

SOUTHAMPTON VS BRENTFORD

The game commences at 1:15am IST on 12th January where Brentford play away to Southampton. Last 5 games between the two sides have resulted in two draws. Brentford have a double match week where as Southampton has a single fixture. Their last outing was in 2020, where the visitors defeated Southampton by 2–0. The match looks evenly poised, as both teams will look to claim all three points in the mid-table battle. With Southampton having the home advantage in this fixture they might have an edge over the visitors.

My Prediction is a draw between the teams of 2–2

EVERTON VS LEICESTER CITY

Everton vs Leicester City: The Opposition View

This could be another game to watch if Everton had been performing well considering their managerial change but nothing has changed since. Beating Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup might give some momentum to the toffees which they have been trying to build in the premier league. An excellent return of 14 points from 18 games in the league from a tough gauntlet of fixtures has been a major positive for Brendan Rodgers. I am expecting goals from both sides but Leicester might have the edge considering the amount of chances they create and Everton’s recent defensive form.

My prediction for this match is 2–3 to Leicester City.

WEST HAM VS NORWICH CITY

This is going to be a potential upset for Norwich City considering both the team’s recent Premier League form and goals scored to goals conceded ratio. West Ham are currently unbeaten in their previous 4 league matches at home where as Norwich haven’t won away from home in the past 2 away matches. Expect a lot of shots from West Ham on goal and making them count. Norwich will try their best to score but we will see them hitting back at times.

My prediction for this match is an easy win for West Ham by a margin of 2 goals with the score-line being 3–1.
